There Comes a Time (Colleen Thomas)

There comes a time,
when giving becomes as sweet as getting,
when the feelings of lust, need, desire
are sublimated to the feelings of caring,
concern and tenderness.

In this time,
neither is diminished,
each feeds upon the other,
until the whirlwind of emotion comes together
and consumes all reason, all morals, all scruples.

There comes a time
when the moans and cries,
the soft sighs and quiet whimpers
block out all other sounds.

There comes a time
when all that you want
is to hear, see and smell another's desire fulfilled.

There comes a time for all of this,
that time is when I'm with you.

This, of all your words,

is the epitome of your soul, for me - the essence of our friendship. I loved it when you wrote it to me, I loved it even more when you posted it as a poem. It will always speak to me of special shared times. Farewell, beloved friend.

You spoke words that all should hear, and hope to feel one day. It is far better to be for someone else than to take of someone else. I'm glad you appreciate that and can show us all what it really means. Thank you.

Simply superb...

What else can I say? When it happens to you, you'll know.
