say
be
embrace

make way
succumb glee
overcome grace

brighten this day
stand over me
cover my face

open that you may
take what you see
join our favorite place

come with me to play
let your mind be free
plant me in your base

locate a spot we can lay
we are overdue for our spree
entice me into your lovely vase

Clever last line

I liked the last line. It immediately resonated and created an image in my mind.

BTW:

I have read everything you have written over the last three days or so - thank you for the ride(s), I have thoroughly enjoyed it all.

I wish...

I was as enthralled by your explorations into poetry as I am by your prose... alas. In all three contributions the language becomes... forced, somehow. Not that the potential isn't there, it is, but... poetry is a very different discipline.

Never read poetry before.

Never wanted to read poetry before. This writer is so talented, that I wanted to try some. I was NOT disappointed. Keep up the GREAT work!
