Nights like these I can’t sleep
I sit alone and wait for dawn
Hoping and praying for relief
Wishing it wouldn’t take so long

It started so swiftly, falling madly
A beautiful glow in my heart
Now the pain cuts deep, fire burns
Ripping my soul apart

Arms that I long for, whispers of love
It’s still dark and I’m cold
The loneliness echoes, silence deafens
My love yet remains untold.
