Roses are flowers
Violets are also flowers
Other flowers have names
You are my lover
You are also my lover
My other lovers do not have names
Carmelita, my Amanita
You cover me, and
I love you.
A light hearted parody on the most iconic ritual for romantic (as in undying multi faceted love to one person only)relations -Valentine day. Instead, why not have free happpy -if fleeting multi -partnered relations; so advocates this heretic cupid of this poem.
An interesting little piece that seems very open to interpretation, a very good quality in a poem imo. Thanks for the read. :-)
