I pull my life apart
Inch by inch by inch
Every morning
Every evening
Every time I think
Of you
I leave
Small pieces of me
Discarded tissue
Held in amber
Flushed
Down the toilet
Bits that I’m not using
Nor anytime soon
What with the way
My slow heart beats
Beaten every day
To try and let go
But your memory
Holds me fast
So its you there
In those hidden places
I touch in my solitude
Ah well
Ah me
Oh my
Nothing’s ever easy is it
The future falls like rain
Coming down around my ears
In soft hushing sounds
While I hope for clearer skies

what a bummer!!!

oh man!!!

I allready submitted this poem!!!

arrrgggghhh!!!

let this be a lesson to all y'all - LABEL your stuff after you submit...dang.

well, if you're curious... you can check out "my heart in my hand" and see how I edit. I actually jump between editing ruthlessly and then shooting from the hip...

in this case I think I made "heart in hands'" mediocre bits a bit more polished... eh?
