We could walk hand in hand
Arm in arm, and lock ourselves
In lover's embrace, stroll through
Life together forever with
Each other to hold.

We could kiss so long
And well, tongues entwined
Lips cemented until breath
Fails and we must be
Parted but briefly.

We could plunge each other's
Depths, and feel sheath
Between our flesh, or not
And run the risk just
To feel alive.

We could bind each other
Fast, and see how much
We each could take
And find our love beyond
The pain beneath our skin.

We could do all this, and more
Just tell me what you want
Because we're together now,
Let's love while we have time
Or else wake one day, alone.
