when the soul summersaults
limbless acrobats
to tightly grip a strangle hold
upon reasoning

second guessing
previous maneuvers
kicking yourself in the butt
while in a head lock

wrenching situations
that blink by a black eye
neuron knuckles clinched
on the grey matter mat

grasping a counter balance
understanding your opponent
hoping to win

Concur with Liar & Angeline

About the ending here;

At first thought it elucidated

But now I see it's overkill;

With that title and all the imagery

That last strophe seems to fall flat.

Damn Art ~ didn't even see a typo here

Took your time on this one!

Thus is good stuff

Witty and well thought through. But you really shoulda skipped the last stanza. The poem don't need it.
