You show me
How small my hands are
by wrapping yours around them.
The span and shape of my hips by cradling yours.
My scent, by smelling it on your skin.
My power, by submitting to my touch.
How sweet I can find surrender
when you take that power back.
How I look when I shatter, by the smile on your face.

I read myself through your body,
lovers Braille.
I move deeper into myself
as you move deeper into me.
I always hold on so tight,
but now I am letting go-
knowing I can find myself back as you tell my tale
and show me, Me.

A lover as a GPS to self

subtle and detailed observations into the intricate process of self awareness through the observation of the other as he/relates to us, which -wonder of all wonders are at the same time flowing and sensual as well!

In psychlogy you describe this kind of learning within the "object theory", as the most basic way of relating to others - initially our parents. They serve as the measering sticks and the building blocks to the creation of the "self" in each of us.

How quickly we forget how critical we are for each other (especially our loved ones)- with regard of the way we figure out who WE are, way after becoming adults. We remain dependent on each others so much more than we care to admit.
