"We won't let you down, Ang. You just be careful until we can get there." Callie leaned over Shadow, holding out her hand. Angel took it, giving Callie a small smile, then she was off, running with a speed that was blinding.
"Let's do this," Callie said to Shadow.
He grabbed her chin, dropping a quick kiss on her surprised lips. "For luck."
She grabbed him, kissing him, her tongue exploring his lips and then his mouth. Pulling back, she smiled up at him. "We're going to need all the luck we can get."
