Click herePeggy, Jeanette's other friend, was not safe either. Barney's second rope splashed against her shot glass. Good thing she already downed her shot of Jagermeister.
"What a cock," Rebecca shouted, speaking of Barney's talented tool.
There would be no celebration for Barney, sadly. Trying to get down from the bar, he slid on a wet spot, made possible by some melting ice from an earlier customer's soda pop, and went crashing to the floor.
As if on cue, the music stopped.
"Awwww, fuck," he bellowed from behind the bar.
Stew came rushing over.
"Is he okay?" Rebecca asked, carefully getting down from the bar, after having seen Barney's crash.
"Uhhhh, think I dislocated my shoulder," Barney managed.
"Just a good thing you weren't driving," Stew rationalized. "Here, get your clothes on. I'll call an ambulance."
"Only you, Bussett," Rebecca said, the three women about to head out.
The summer of '82 was going to have its ups and downs.
TO BE CONTINUED...
I’ve really enjoyed all of your stories, so I hope you take this as constructive feedback. I’m not sure I get why Dick worships Krendy. He seemed to have caught onto her arrogance earlier, but her deception and manipulation in going to the nude beach is overlooked? I get there’s supposed to be an imbalance of power, but the contract suggests that it should be built on trust. I don’t see why Dick should trust her, because she’s pretended to console his feelings of being adrift and almost alone, then she isolates to feed her ego. Plus, she’s his boss, which makes it even shadier. And, her talking about his dick on a date gets another man laid? Right now, I’m rooting for Nancy’s Totes to put Krendy out of business.
Overall, I’m hopeful for the story to go the way you’ve planned it, because there’s a lot you’ve set up expertly. Please keep the stories coming. As much as I dislike Krendy right now, I’m excited to see what’s next. Thanks for writing these stories!
