"You're a fucking bottom feeder, Marc LaVaillere, you almost ruined my life this time last year, and you have the fucking gall to walk in here and pretend you don't know me to try it again!"

"Lady, I don't...." suddenly, his eye went wide.

"Lacy, I recall you," he smiled at her then turned to look up at me. "Keen for another round, I'll rock your world again, and you will never need to think of this cuck again."

"You dickhead, it's Linda." Dave corrected him, glaring at someone who contributed to his own marriage breakup.

Linda purposely put her heel into his hand as she turned to me. Marc moaned. "Darling, I think you need to take me back to our room and fuck me hard like you always do, then follow it up with that oh so sweet lovemaking that makes me gush. I find that I need to get the poor taste of LaValliere out of my system, he fucks like a Neanderthal, but has no technique." Linda moved and helped me out of my seat. "Oh, and Marc," She bent down. "I should let you know that while you look alright, you're actually a pretty average lover."

She glanced from him to me, then back to him. "Tonight, I am going to get fucked by a real man, bye!"

When we walked out of the club, the bouncer, the same one on the door as last year, had a massive grin on his face and fist-bumped me. As Linda melted into my side, I felt ten feet tall. That night Linda and I didn't stop fucking till the sun came up. She made sure I fucked her mouth, her pussy and her ass and would not stop grabbing me possessively and mouthing the word 'mine' any time for the next week.

The following week, we read in the paper that Marc LaValliere would have to be sidelined due to a hand injury this season, and to make matters worse, videos had started arising of him hitting on wives around the place. As a result, he was traded to a lesser club in another state, and within a year, his pro career ended.

Linda and I found out a few weeks after that night we would become parents again. Linda cried and held me thanking me for forgiving her. I held her and laughed. She looked at me, and I noted, "I do have to say I was worried, but this February didn't really suck."

[:::: Authors End Note ::::]

Thank you, everyone, for reading my take on February Sucks. Again, respect George Anderson for writing a great story in the first place and then allowing so many of us to have a go of our variation.

Some of the reconciliation in this one came from someone in my immediate family who went through their spouse cheating on them many years ago. They separated for a time but came back together. Today they are still married and have a child. I have talked to both of them, and they have admitted how difficult it was to get past the infidelity. It was from the person cheated on that I first heard the term better with them than without long before I heard it here in an LW story.

See you in the next story.

6.10.24. Super. I’ve read many of the February Sucks alternative endings and sequels, this is one of the best if not the best.

A masterful storyteller who somehow floods us with emotions and opens up characters for our inspection.

Thanks for sharing your adaptation. John

Writing was excellent, poor score is for my dislike for the ending. This is not a story that has a reconciliation

Entertaining and unique version of an otherwise nasty story about an execrable woman. This Linda was very different. The plot was quite different. Without such significant changes, true reconciliation is not possible. 5 stars for a fresh take.

After 5 days unconscious in a hospital, the patient wakes. Oh he's awake! Would you like us to contact anyone to let them know you're here?

One of the worst versions on the site... for many reasons.

I have read most, if not all, the different versions of this story and like many others enjoy the plot and the ensuing emotions it generates. I think it all comes down to morals and values. Even when we aren't "thinking straight" due alcohol or lust it is our inner value system that kicks in and prevents us from doing stupid things. If we don't have a strong value system in place we may find ourselves regretting our actions. A person once told me to develop strong habits and it will sustain you when you are not thinking.
