"Thank you dad, I love you."

"I love too munchkin."

They continued through their ranks, before it finally dawned on them they were not strong enough to inflict any harm on their father. They would have to devise another method for getting even, with this evil genius.

"Kids, go to sleep, we are skipping the gym this morning. You had a long, rough night, and a little extra sleep will do everyone good."

Cindy said, jokingly, "Darn, I was really looking forward to working up a good sweat, and seeing Jimmy in his tight, red, leotards."

"Okay, Cindy, I'll get up early, just for you. I'll drop you off at the gym, and sign you in for a double session. I'll come home, catch some shuteye, and I'll pick you up at 1 o'clock."

She choked. "Dad, I couldn't possibly do that to you. You must be exhausted, both mentally and physically. Mom and you need to talk. It wouldn't be fair, to either of you, for me to take up any of your precious time."

"Cindy, that's what parents do. They put their children's needs before their own. It happens to them, when they see their child born."

"Dad you weren't there when I was born."

"True, but Cindy I learned to lie before you were born. I am much better at it than you are. That's one misdemeanor, young lady."

"Oh Fungus."

Fred laughed at her altered speech.

"Girls, I have one more thing to say before I join your mother. The four of you walk around the house saying, 'I hate lawyers' because I trap you into doing or saying something, without you realizing it. You are not the only ones that do it. I walked into a trap earlier this evening, set by Doctor Free. I walked into it, just like you walk into one of mine. I had my eyes wide open, and never saw it coming. I told her exactly what you do. 'I hate doctors.' She laughed, because she knew she got her message through my thick skull, and into my brain. That was all that was important, and I hope, when it happens to you; you get the same feeling I did."

Sandy said, "Dad, your oldest and smartest daughter guarantees you, when we talk about these little landmines of yours, not only do we laugh about them, we talk about them, and we figure out what we were supposed to learn from them. Eventually, your message gets through to all of us, and we are smarter for it."

"Don't worry about the landmines ladies; soon you will be older than I am, and you will be planting them for me, instead of me planting them for you."

Cindy jumped in with both feet. "I can't wait for that day to come."

Sandy shook her head and looked at Fred. "Dad, are you sure she is smarter than I am?"

He smiled. "She does have some questionable moments, doesn't she? That strawberry ice cream must have been very good."

"Dad, it was the best ever."

"Everyone go to bed; I don't want to hear any mice roaming around this house, until after 12 PM. I love you all, sleep tight.

88. One Little, Two Little, Three Little...

Monday, October 18, 6:30 AM

"Sergeant, if you want to be in the O.R. with her, you have to leave right now and get scrubbed in."

Cassandra looked him right in the eye and said, "What do you mean 'If' he wants to be in there. He is going to be in there, if he wants to see his children tonight. Right dear?"

Sergeant looked around the pre-op area for moral support, but everyone looking back at him was a woman. Nurses, aides, support staff, patients, even the doctors were women. As they looked at him, they made him feel tinier and tinier by the second.

Doctor Linda Childs said, "Well Cassandra, it's not the first time I've seen a man wimp out on observing a C-section, and it will probably not be my last."

"Get me a lawyer before you put me under the anesthesia, if he is not going to be in the room with me, I want a divorce. That son of a bitch got me pregnant; the least he could do is see me through it."

"Cassandra, stop it; I wouldn't be anyplace else but with you this morning."

"Then go get changed, they are almost ready to take me in to the O.R."

"Believe me, honey; you are not going to move from this spot for another 10 minutes, or more. The anesthesiologist has not seen you yet. I don't think he's in the building yet."

"Is he right Linda, is the anesthesiologist late?"

"Technically, he's not late. He has to be here by 6:55 A.M. and he always plays it right down to the wire. He knows we can't start without him, although we did start Susan's operation, before he got here. He trains his nurses extremely well, and they did a super job, keeping her alive, until he got here."

"So that's why this bear of mine knows I'm not going to move for a while."

"Susan and he have been tied at the hip for 40 years. If one of them has a boil on their ass, the other one goes to the doctor to have it lanced."

"Isn't that the truth?"

*********

"Okay, let's get this show on the road, he's here, and so is the anesthesiologist."

Sergeant walked over to them, dressed from toe to neck in green. "Very funny, Linda. Do they give you extra classes at medical school to do standup for your patients on their way to have their stomachs opened?"

"I'm not opening her stomach. I'm opening her abdomen and taking out those four tiny gorillas she keeps complaining about. I will see you in a little while, I have to go scrub in, and put my makeup on. I must look pretty for the cameras."

"Fuck you, Linda."

"Cassandra, such intemperate language. I think I'll leave staple on the inside of your clit. Every time you move, you'll cum. The staple is so tiny, it's almost impossible to see on an x-ray. Think of all the weight you will lose. Think how much exercise your former Marine will get. We will get him back into his old uniform in no time."

"Will you give him his hair back too?"

"No that takes a different kind of doctor."

*******

The antagonists were already at each other's throats, in the waiting room.

"Callaway would you stand downwind he please, you're making this part of the room too cold."

"I can show you your death certificate, Alan. If you're not careful. I'll take a picture of you, and send it to your friends in New York. I'm sure they'll be interested in your resurrection."

"Do you see Susan; even she knows I am a God."

"Alan, are you anticipating seeing your son grow-up?"

"Yes dear."

"Alan, are you ever expecting to get laid again?"

"Yes dear."

"Alan, are you expecting ever to move your jaw again?"

"I was hoping to, yes dear."

"Alan, if you open your mouth one more time, I am going to shove my foot down so far down it's going to come out of your ass."

Alan meekly sat next to his wife, and did not say a thing.

Callaway laughed at him. "You haven't got the balls to stand up to your own wife."

Susan was about to say something, but she saw Harold walked up behind Callie, and waited.

Callie was getting ready to say something else, when she saw Susan smiling, but it was not at her. She closed her eyes and cringed.

"Hello Harold, how long have you been here?"

"Long enough to enjoy your floor show, Callie. Did you have fun?"

"It was Alan, of course I had fun."

"I want you to sit down across from Alan, and stay there. I'm going to go to the telemetry and borrow Elizabeth's cellphone. I'm going to show Alan the pictures she took a few weeks ago. It should give him quite a laugh, don't you think?"

Callie fell to the floor and grabbed Harold around his knees. "Harold, anything, I mean anything you can dream up I will do for you willingly. Do not show him those pictures. He will never let me live them down."

Alan said, "Susan, I'm going to telemetry. I will be right back. I believe I left my head there."

"Alan, if you take one more step, I will cut your dick off. Get back here and sit down."

"Susan, you don't understand, there is evidence on a cellphone that could cause Callaway to heat up. It could take the chill out of the air. She would never be cold again. Callum would not have to be afraid of touching his godmother, and getting frostbite."

"Sit down, Alan."

"You are no fun."

"That is not what you said last night."

"That was fun, wasn't it?"

"Thank God, I can't get pregnant again. You were so deep inside me; the baby would've started out in the second trimester."

"Who said reading was overrated? The things we did last night were in the first chapter. What happens when we get to the advanced portion of the book?"

"First, we make sure Callum is with one of his godparents. Then, we have to make sure one of us is wearing our 'Life Alert Sensors.' When they ask us what's wrong; we will give them the name of the book, the page we are on, and the position were stuck in. They can either give us the remedy, or send the ambulance guys to free us. We'll give them a big tip, and a copy of the book, as our thanks. If they can't free us, they can take us to the hospital, and have our spines straightened out, by the doctors."

Harold whispered in Callie's ear, "Go over to that nice man, and ask him for a signed copy of the book he's talking about. Tell him you will do anything; and I mean anything, to get a copy of that book."

"Harold, are you out of your fucking mind? That's Alan, and you want me to tell him I would do 'anything' to get a signed copy of that book?"

"Callie, you have 30 seconds."

"No, Harold, I won't do it." She looked into his eyes to see if he was joking with her. She did not see any mirth in them. He was as serious as he was, when discussing programming with Patricia.

"20 seconds."

"Harold, you're insane. He will make me do something that will get me arrested."

"10 seconds."

She dropped her head, in resignation, walked over to Alan, and asked, "May I have a signed copy of that book, please? I will do anything for a signed copy of it."

"What book would you do anything for, Miss Callaway?"

"The book you were talking about with Susan a moment ago."

"Who is Susan?"

Susan hit Alan so hard; he fell to the floor, face down.

He turned his head, looked up at his wife, and asked, "What was that for?"

"Do you remember who I am now?"

"Of course I know who you are. I was just playing head games, with the ditzy blonde."

That was it. God would have had to stop everything he was doing, and come down from heaven to stop the explosion that occurred in the prenatal waiting room.

Callalily Callaway yelled, "Ditzy blonde, I am going to kill you, Robbins."

Alan was in the process of standing up, when Callaway hit him with a flying block that knocked him backwards against the chairs lined up against the waiting room wall. It did not take a genius to recognize the sound of cracking ribs, air being forced from his lungs, and a yell of pain.

Susan's laugh turned into a mournful cry.

Harold's smile turned into a 'Holy Shit, Not Again.' He recovered quickly, picked up the hospital phone, and told them there was an emergency, in the prenatal waiting room.

Callaway turned from an incensed monster, into a Florence Nightingale. Well, almost.

She recognized the sound of bones breaking, and even though they were Alan's bones, she had to help. She was trying to lay him flat on the floor to protect his injuries, when tried to push her away.

"Go away Callalily, are you trying to finish the job now?"

"You dumb son of a bitch, don't you know how to protect yourself."

With as much strength and power in his voice as he could muster he replied, "Callaway, get away from me. Every time I am in this hospital visiting someone, you make sure I stay here, by trying to kill me. Keep your cold hands away from me. I will be hypothermic, before they get me to x-ray."

"My hands are keeping your injuries from swelling, you idiot. Now be quiet, before I feed you your balls for breakfast."

"I am going to sue you, because you are never nice to me."

"Nice; nice to you. All you want to do is see pictures of Harold and me screwing. Why would I be nice to you?"

"Is that what's on that cellphone. I have to find out who will sell it, or lend it to me. I can set up a site onto the Internet and make a fortune. I didn't think the information on the phone would be so good. I can blackmail you for the rest of your life."

"You son of a bitch you tricked me. When they have the IV going, I am going to put 'Potassium Hypochlorite' in the line and the real Alan Robbins will meet the fake Alan Robbins for eternity. I just feel bad for Susan and Callum."

"You remember, Princess, when Callum turns 13, you start teaching him how to fuck, starting with your ass."

"In a pig's eye, Alan. That boy is going to scare all the girls, in Valley High School, by the time he is 13. In 10 years, he will probably scare the shit out of me."

A team from the emergency room arrived, and asked what happened to him.

Alan said, "If I get any clumsier, you are going to have to keep a room open, with my name on it. I slipped and caught my back against the chair. I think I broke a few ribs."

Callaway looked at him and shook her head. She could have lost her job, and her license, because of this incident. He could have sued her personally, and taken everything she had. What does he do instead; he tells them he slipped and hurt himself. He was just too unreal to deal with."

********

In Operating Room 3, there was a less drama going on, as Doctor Linda Childs severed the first umbilical cord, and handed baby girl Sherwood #1 to the neonatal nurse turned and continued working. Soon, she took out baby girls Sherwood #2, and #3. As the sonogram showed, baby Sherwood #4 was a boy, and he took after his father. He would not suffer from penis envy, when he took showers, with the boys in school.

She checked Cassandra's abdominal cavity for any signs of bleeding, and telltale signs of early ovarian cancer. She removed the placenta, and inspected it carefully. There were no outward signs of the disease. She cut a sample and a scraping from the lining of her abdomen and sent them to the lab, just to be sure. It was not routine to do this, but after hearing the story about Jemma's experience, she did not want to take any chances with her friend.

She peered over the screen to see how Cassandra was doing. Her eyes were open, looking at Sergeant's as he smiled down at her.

"Cassie, the gorillas in your abdomen are gone. I am going to sew you up with micro stitches. You will be able to continue wearing your teeny-weeny yellow bikini, and model it for your big gorilla. When you get home, you are to do nothing for one week. The babies are going to be in our nursery, so there are no excuses you can use, that had to do this or that. Nothing, you are to do nothing. Do you understand me?"

"Yes warden, one week, no ice skating or jumping on a trampoline. Can I fuck my husband?"

"Sarge, do you want to answer that question for her."

"You sure can baby; as long as you are on top, doing the reverse cowgirl."

Sergeant turned to the Doctor. "I can guarantee you my wife will do nothing for one week. If you want her to do nothing for a month, I will handcuff her to the bed, if necessary, but she will do nothing."

"No, Sarge that will not be necessary. Short walks are fine, but no lifting or bathing. Quick showers are fine, but I don't want her dressing to get soaked."

"I will give her a sponge bath."

"Be careful with those, Sarge. Done the right way, they can be very stimulating, and extremely erotic."

"Is there a book, or do I just do it by touch?"

"You should know your wife's body by now; the touch method should work just fine."

********

45 minutes later, Cassandra was rolled out of the operating room and into the recovery area. Sergeant got out of his greens and went to tell his friends. When he arrived, only Harold was there, and he knew something was wrong.

"What happened Harold, is it my cousin?"

"How are the babies, Sarge? How is Cassandra?"

"The babies are doing fine, and Cassie is wonderful. Now, what happened in here?"

"I would give you three guesses, but you would only need one."

"Shit, did she kill him this time?"

"They took Alan out of here on a gurney, and he was in a lot of pain. It sounded like he broke a few ribs when Callie hit him. I'm hoping that's all it is. Let's go down to the ER, we can talk on our way."

"What did Alan do to cause her to lose her temper this time?"

"It was simple enough, Sarge. He called her a 'ditzy blonde.'"

"Harold, you must be a saint. I don't think that woman could be around any man, as long as she has been around you, and not hurt him."

"No, the reason she does not attack me, is because she loves me, and I keep her satisfied in bed. She loves Alan, but he does not satisfy her in bed. With Callie, you have to do both, or you are on her very short fuse list. The reason Doctor Vincennes gets away without being assaulted by her, is he's married to her sister. So he gets a pass, most of the time, but not all the time."

As they were about to enter the ER and aide told them to follow her. Seconds later, they were by Susan, and Callalily.

Harold asked, "Is there any news?"

Callie said, "They took him from x-ray, for a CAT scan. Normally, that's not good. It could just be cautionary, but with Alan, I wouldn't bet on it. He is going to crucify me for the rest of my life. However the babies and Cassie Sarge?"

"Cassie is as beautiful as ever, and our babies are doing well. They were taking them to the neonatal unit, while Linda was still working on Cassie. I haven't seen all four of them together yet."

"Cousin, you had better get yourself a great camera, because those little ones are going to grow like weeds. You don't want to miss a day of it."

"I was going to go down to the drugstore and buy one of those cameras in a box. Use that camera, bring it in for the film to be processed, and they give you a new camera to use for the next time. I thought that was a marvelous idea."

"Sarge, you are such an ass. What will you do if someone wants a copy?"

"I will bring the picture to your house, and have you print out a copy for me."

"Callaway hit him."

Someone said menacingly, "Callaway, don't you move."

They turned and saw Doctor Ted Vincennes walking towards them.

"I know what Alan told the ER physician. Now you tell me the truth. What did you do to him this time. He has a football size bruise on his sternum, three broken ribs close to his spine, and a punctured lung. His story did not add up, until he told me he was in the room with Susan, and you. He is being prepped for surgery, and quite honestly, I am tired of opening that man up, and putting him back together."

There were tears in Callie's eyes at the thought of putting Alan's life in jeopardy, again. A punctured lung was no laughing matter, especially on the posterior side. Getting to it was a stone cold bitch for any Doctor, and if any of the ribs were protruding into the lung, they would have to be removed. A steel prosthesis would be needed to cover the open area, otherwise the lung would be exposed to danger all the time.

"Ted, we were baiting each other, like we always do, until he called me, 'a ditzy blonde.' I jumped at him and he fell back against the chairs. I didn't mean to hurt him, I just wanted to kill him."

"Harold, would you get her pregnant already. Something has got to calm her down."

"Doc, I'm wondering if that's a good idea. If this is the way she is now, what will happen when her hormones begin to go wild?"

Ted thought for a moment, and said, "There's always Thorazine."

Callie said, "That would be like giving me a lobotomy."

"Believe me Callie, sometimes I think you are the perfect candidate."

"Ted, you are a prick."

"That's Doctor Vincennes to you nurse."

A receptionist said, "Mister Sherwood, you can see, your babies, now."

Doctor Vincennes said, "Why don't we go to see the quads, before I have to start working on Alan."
