I picked up both of the envelopes and stood. "Come on, Shell. Let's go home." She grabbed my outstretched hand and pulled herself up, eyes wide with amazement.
"You're-- you're staying? You're going to sign the post-nup?"
"Yes, I'm staying. No, I'm not signing." I started to walk, and she rushed to keep up. "We're going to go inside, and these are going in the shredder. Then we're going to spend the rest of the day upstairs wrestling with theological issues."
She giggled. "Oh? Any particular ones?"
"Oh, you know. Being fruitful. Multiplying." I winked. "Maybe a bit about submission to one's husband." She grinned wickedly. Her brain was starting to make connections again. I couldn't wait to see what she'd come up with this time.

gasperguy6912 days agoI can support this story! He needed something extreme to get him over his brainlock. She had a one time drunken fling. I don't think his issue was the fling so much as her trying to hide it. Lets be honest here, who wouldn't try to hide a one night horrible mistake! Had it been an ongoing affair that would have been totally different. She's making a last ditch effort to save her marriage to the man she loves! How many others would offer the same?

Was she sincere? Yeah...probably. But shit most women are so narcissistic these days. Her sincerity now WILL change. She's a woman for fucks sakes. You have any idea what she'll be like as a long time married wife with 3 kids at 45? How entitled she's gonna feel? She'll wake up one day and feel bored. Feel old. Body chemistry changing. She'll justify it. Epecially if she has you trapped wirh kids? You forgave her once. Right?
Could he have given her another chance? Yeah. Sure. But fuck dude. Take that postnup and papers to your attorney and get 'em notarized and filed.
Make her prove it. And let that sword of damocles hang over her head for the rest of your married life.
Why, why, why would you take her at her word after she's proven she isn't worthy of trust? Especially do not procreate irh her. Use condoms. Have her tested for STDs.
Sorry. This is dumb. It makes no sense. He's convinced...utterly convinced she's not trustworthy. And then 20 minutes later he's back and ready to make some kids wirh her without any kind of punative motivations for her to keep her legs closed?
Fuck that. It just doesn't compute.
