Click here'Sweet Home, Chicago' may first have been performed in 1936, but the version done by the boys is the Blues Brothers iteration from 1980.
The Prelude to Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 is pretty standard repertoire, but if you are one of those people who plays the music I reference in-story to help set the scene, then you'll need to listen specifically to the version played by Pierre Fournier, which was my inspiration for Karen's second playing of it, while soothing Mike. It's slower and more serene than the Prelude is typically played. Her first run-through would sound more like something played by Anner Bylsma - crisper and a little faster, as is typical.
Alrighty, then; on to My Naughty Neighbour. Chapter 15 awaits.

Rock the house, Alexa! I appreciate the music breakdown in the notes. It goes a long way in putting the situation in context. Really enjoying the read.
I'm really starting to dislike Karen a lot. How she more or less decides to bed her sons wife, is just pure selfishness and ruins the entire character. How on earth can she talk about them being so perfect for each other and then insist on sleeping with Alexa the next?
Brilliant chapter! Onto the next one.
I doubt a South African Indian like myself would be flashing at a bar but America/Canada is definitely not South Africa lol.
Great chapter, lovely written, amazing story. Can’t wait to meet the dreaded blackwells.
Only cause for real apprehension for me is if Alexa and Karen do the unthinkable to one another when they leave to meet their Blackwell family.
I LOVE ALL YOUR SIDELINE STORIES OF ALL THE CHARACTERS, MAKES THEM THAT MUCH MORE REAL. I ALSO FIND MYSELF SKIMMING THROUGH THE SEX SCENES TO GET BACK TO THE STORY LINE AT HAND. THERE'S ONLY SO MANY TIMES I NEED TO READ OF NOSE RUBBING AND FOREHEAD TOUCHING. THE SEX IS SENSUAL, BUT DON'T LET IT BECOME REPETITIOUS. OTHER THAN THAT, A FIVE STAR SHOW SO FAR.
