"Do I need to boil some water to blanch the kale?" Anna asked cheerfully.

"Nope. A little secret. Chop them up finely, then I'll get you some olive oil and pour a handful onto the chopped kale in a bowl. Instead of blanching you are going to massage or knead the leaves for about ten minutes. Once that is done then we'll add the juice from one lemon and fresh garlic. The grapefruit sections and nuts will go on last."

"So, I get the manual labor chore?"
