Carol looked like a hollow shell of a person.

Five minutes later her signature was dually witnessed and sealed and the first half of my life ended.
Carol looked numb as she stood at the end of the driveway waiting for a cab to take her to the business suites motel out on the interstate. I booked her their usual suite. I wondered if she would see the humor in that.
Epilogue
Two years have passed. I never broke my promise and told a soul. Until now.

Camdude20 days agoMC has no control over himself. His needless cruelty (hey it was over) says more about him than the cheaters. Divorce? Yes, understood, but this sadistic treatment is not only disturbing but may well indicate psychotic tendencies. She probably will he better off without him in the long run. Put another way hes not someone I would hang out with.

LOL Like any woman would be stupid enough to be trapped in a marriage with these psychos. Guys who hire PIs at the drop of a hat instead of just confronting their spouses. Guys who get their wives fired so that they'll have to pay more in alimony and--I suspect--keep a connection that they claim not to want.
