Letting out a cry of rage, he slammed the chair back against the side of the dresser, then repeated it several times, until the wood finally snapped, and broke away from his body.

When he was finally free, he unraveled the rope from around his wrists, and let it drop to the floor. Dashing from the bedroom, he burst through the door, and ran through the house as he yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Tina!" Her name escaped him repeatedly as his heart tripped with a fear he had never felt before. She was nowhere to be found. Ripping open the front door to their house, he stepped out on the porch, and his gaze traveled up, and down the street in desperation.

Only, it was too late. She was already gone.

Falling to his knees where he stood, Jack began to shake as he sobbed.
