So anyway, Doc and his family were out celebrating his parent's fifth wedding anniversary.

Yes, you read that correctly; fifth, with their thirty-seven-year-old son and their fifteen-year-old son.

And don't you know there's a story waiting to be told about that?

Setting the record straight:

Doctors performing Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) Reconstruction surgery, most commonly known as Tommy John surgery, are pretty well unanimous in stating that the procedure does not enhance performance are allow the person having the surgery to throw harder and faster than before having the surgery. And yet...there is anecdotal evidence that the surgery has helped pitchers to the point that there have been requests by some baseball pitchers to have the surgery performed on healthy UCLs.

There have been no successful uses of adamantium in Tommy John surgery or any other sports medicine procedures, although there is rumored to be ongoing testing with promising results in a specialized clinic located at 1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York.

if you want absolute fact read a biography . this is fiction !! license has been taken with several things in this story . yes,the likelyhood of a another injury is fairly high, and the possibility of the girlfriend cheating in college is also high, but not 100 % either .

A good story, but with a few flaws. One is a high school kid throwing as hard as Aroldis Chapman, who is a very big man. I

There is no indication that Lee is appreciably taller and more muscular than other high c

School boys, a d after that college and pro pitchers. 115-mph pitches are basically laughable. At 6'8"" a d 250 Pounds, possibly, but no tall and muscular pitchers have thrown in that range.also, a ball hit by a bat which results in an out is not a hit. You also mixed up names a couple times or so, Lee for his dad, and a few spelling errors that a diligent proofread should catch, like Sanford for Stanford. Also, of course he would not get a $100 million contract as a drafted rookie. I suspect in the lower millions range.

Still, an enjoyable tale. Solid four stars for a good read.
