I'm a former assistant editor for two (not just one!) start-up tech magazines in the Bay Area that managed to go belly-up. I graduated from college with a degree that qualifies me for absolutely no jobs, my husband and I split up after nearly four years together (we were married at 19 and are still, technically, "friends") and I have custody of our beautiful daughter. I still have dreams of growing up to be a writer, although I'm currently working two jobs part-time to pay the rent (neither have anything to do with writing).
