Every day, from the moment I wake,
You are there.
Pale imitation of me.
With your fake smiles.
Your cold stares.
Your passive aggression.
You hate me.
You fear me.
You act tough.
You spit on the ground.
You fake-cough.
I look right at you.
I terrify you.
And we both know it.
I will never bow down to your kind.
Day by day,
The world changes.
Becoming more like me,
And less like you.
Your kind are now minorities among the young ones,
And you know it most of all.
Your time is coming to an end.
I will rise.
Having been kept at the bottom for so long,
No way to go but up.
A proud Son of Africa.
