Two lines that are straight forward and in thought and language - with a predictable association (to heaven). And then the last line: full of contractions and alternative spellings, and a conclusion that is not what one would expect. It makes you wonder why the exception: because in heaven he would not be conscious of the sight? That being dead wouldn't be "heavenly"? That he doesn't belong in heaven? Or something else entirely? Hmmmm....and all in three lines!
Capitalization on Blue Skies: is this a reference to the song, I wonder? Which is rather hoppy happy like.
I do get a little confused by the double negation (except + not)
