Powerful, flowing and captivating - words to describe this poem. It would seem more women ought to have this mindset with foolish men who don't know what treasure they had. Too bad, so sad, get out.
But I must inquire - did you have a melody of sorts in your, mind while composing this? It seems to flow so fluidly that music dances just beneath the surface.
Not simply a poem - that is a song waiting to be sung. I know just the singer to do it, too...
tell it like it is
and
sing it girl
come to mind
(among others)
A very sad poem. I'm the type of person that people like to talk to. That's probably why I chose the profession I did. I've heard these words before by people that have gotten dumped and didn't know why. In some cases I knew both sides. Many times the dumper was immature, insecure, sensitive and had trust issues. They couldn't handle a deep relationship. They would keep trying, sometimes lasting two years before having to bail. Usually, feeling lonely afterwards and try getting back together. This doesn't make the person a bad person, just damaged and not knowing how to fix it. They don't have any control over their irrational fears. Probably originated while growing up, becoming a part of their character. These people are doomed to keep hurting others until they finally give up and end up spending their life alone because they hate hurting people or seek professional help. And most times that doesn't even help. Hopefully, the person's scars from encountering these damaged people will heal and they can move on to a healthy relationship. Unfortunately, some become just as damaged like the person that hurt them.
Understandable - but sooo hard to keep up !
Great that/if the author made it !
5/5 stars !
