Are you assured that you are safe?
Walking so fast paced
getting your dos done.

I believe you,
as I believe a rock will float,
I say that 'humble.'

In a blink of an eye
a fire port can barrel metal
for nothing more than your sunglasses.

A shade dim
to darken their soul
to late to ask, "Why?"

Is it a gift or torture
knowing you won't make it to see
your child reach three?

I bumped into a Praying Mantis
and we shared a moment of silence,
then I walked away.

Now I grab the day
by the neck and twist
the life out of it.

Watching colors rise
as the 'son' sits.
Entranced in a days death.

Then kiss it good-bye
like a monkey vine to vine
from one to another.

The Yin Yang turns
from light to dark
forever spinning

A beautiful Guppy
caught up in a current's swirl,
life's constant struggle.

In order for me to be alive
a day must die
one day it will live forever

Why do I hone my sword
if I pray not to use it?
In case I have to.

It's not that I want my sunglasses
that badly, it's just that I would like
to watch a few more days die.

Life is precious

You brought that out immediately. Thank you for allowing your words to stir one's mind. Of how to live..

About your work

Your work is wonderfully written, whether erotic or not. I enjoy reading them immensely.

nicely done....

....with a nice feel to it. it certainly makes one think about the passing of time. this is my favorite part:

Now I grab the day

by the neck and twist

the life out of it.

Just like you...

I squeeze the breath out of each day as if it were Life's orange juice. In this piece, you have expressed a very powerful thought about something we are powerless to control - when the day comes that outlives us. This is excellent food for thought poetry!

Thought provoking.

Great reflection upon the time one must take to open their eyes to see what's around them, because life is filled with fleeting moments. Well done!
