is way over rated. You have explained your 40 years pretty well, including your mother in law, but I wonder about the other incest in your lives. Maybe a lost chapter?

I determined as a teen that sex is simply sex. Incest has been a part of mankind since Adam andEve. After all, there was no other people around so mother father sons and daughters were fucking in the garden in order to "go forth and multiply". Simple math is simple math. I do not condone abuse of children but consenting adults is simply more fun. If the children grow up understanding then they eventuall join in as consenting adults.

talk is cheap. So maybe this lifestyle worked for you, and maybe your entire story is complete bullshit. The point is, it proves nothing, either way. Open marriage is just an option. What's not just talk is the evidence that open marriages usually are weak, shallow, and most often fail. There is much history of many cultures where polyamory and polygamy and similar multi-partnerships have succeeded. So I'm not claiming it can't work or shouldn't work. Its just that in the overall scheme of marriage, open marriage is a very risky and often short lived experiment.

So write whatever you want and claim whatever you like. There are people who really do make a living gambling, or stealing. Just don't tell us how wonderful it is. It almost always is a bad idea.

Thank you for this great explanation! Envying you for your happy life. You and your girls made a development work, not caring about boundaries established by the society. Though it maybe wasn't even a conscious decision it included some risk. But you've been rewarded for taking this risk with a great life. It's your life, not the one of your bystanders.
