Months later I learned that Dee had a baby girl. They named her Sybil. Apparently her hair was coming in bright orangy red.
I went to visit mom and daughter. They were both doing well. I brought baby Sybil two small gifts.
A froggy teething toy and Sybil's wooden Love flute.
"It's from your great-aunt Sybil," I whispered to the baby as she chewed on the toy while proud mom watched on, "she wanted you to have it." Her big brown eyes stared at the flute.
My lips tingled as I kissed her little forehead.

Olgreyfox4 months agoI first read this magnificent story 3 yrs ago and it made for a hard read for me and brought multiple tear duct draining as I progressed through the story. During my re-reading I just about got completely dehydrated through my tear ducts and blowing my wet nose. God!! What a magnificent, wonderful, great scribble!!! KUDOS once again.
