All Comments on 'A State of Grace Pt. 01'

Thank you (or the Flying Spaghetti Monster) for continuing this one, it was lonely without the siblings and their unconditional love. Even better was the style that remained the same awesome it was, changed perspective to Grace was a nice touch to twist the POV of the upcoming defining moments and giving us a tad bit different look on their relationship. The slow process of healing and patching up their relationship with their parents was a specially touching moment and I hope there will be lots more like it.

The only thing giving me some mental hiccups is continuing involvement of Trent with his secret room and the safe and other odds and end, not that I mind the "James Bond" aspects of it for they offer moments of intense suspense and drive the story forward without making it stale, it's just that I want the siblings to have a chance to enjoy their "married" lifestyle in peace and quiet and not have to look over their shoulder every time they leave the house. Including Crystal in the story is another great plot device that will surely enrich the story and give it some "street cred" when dealing in Trent-business, even her subconscious intimate advances are fun to watch as they make Kevin cringe. And I bet that Kayla will awaken some paternal instincts in them sooner or later, you can't be such a good fatherly figure without going down that road eventually.

Well that's that and so I find myself once more giving you a more than well deserved 5* but I'm expecting the next part real soon thanks to that cliffhanger!

And these stories about Kevin and Grace is one such occasion.

I think these stories could be in the category Novels or even Romance (if they had not been siblings).

It's also nice to see that the new chapters continue right where they finished Chapter 8 of the previous series.

Great story, with intrigue and mystery.

I know what I'm going to say may seem strange for a site like Lit, but I would like this sequel to have the least sex, as in "My saving grace." We know that they are siblings, that they are deeply in love, and like all couples, they have their arguments and disagreements, as it has been exposed here. What I like most about the author, about this couple, is that they can build an incestuous story with a minimal presence of explicit sex scenes. I think he has managed to create a proper atmosphere about their relationship, it is the dramatic story of a couple (and hopefully with happy ending), that they have the added circumstance of being siblings. Their situations in the day to day of their relationship (the part of intrigue, mystery, discussions, friendships, etc.), have more importance than the description of their sexual relation. I do not consider this to be a simple story about incestuous eroticism, stories of which there are many here, but stories like these about the life of Kevin and Grace are not so plentiful, and certainly not so interesting.

Only one error in four pages (usage error "ready" instead of "read"; related to describing Grandpa; easy to overlook). I wish my own stories were that pristine!

I came across this story in the literotica index a couple of weeks ago and read your

author's notes, at the beginning, suggesting that My Saving Grace be read first, so I

did that. It was an absolutely beautiful series! The story line was great and certainly held my interest but the most incredible thing, were the 'tender moments' between

Kevin and Grace. From the very start you couldn't help but feel the love and affection

between this brother and sister. It was amazing and you couldn't help but feel like

you were right there beside them all the way through the series. One of the best stories ever. Thank you for the time you must have spent writing it.

I am looking forward to reading A State of Grace, which I haven't started as yet.

Like the story but Grace's past should be revealed to Kevin. Probably already has in later installments. I'm a new reader.

I had just finished reading the end of this first chapter when I realized I was sitting at the edge of my seat with my nose only a few millimeters from the computer screen with my hand crushing my mouse and ignoring my carpal tunnel. I’m going to need to rest my eyes, maybe take a nap before moving on to the next chapter. I love the Crystal character. I still hate Kelly.

I read the first series a few weeks back (My Saving Grace) - wow, what a story that was. So bloody gripping. One of the best I've ever read. So much love, emotion, and drama, and so many moments where you're on the edge of your seat, anxious to find out what's coming next. I was thrilled to see there was a second series that continued the story.

Even on the first page, I could feel the sheer depth of their love and affection toward each other, and it brought it all back from a few weeks ago when I had read the first series. I can't recall any other story where the 2 main characters love each other quite as much as these do - I mean Kevin literally saved Grace's life several times, risking his own in doing so, and vowed he'd rather die than live without her. That's tough to beat.

That revelation about Crystal... shit. Going through all that, fighting her way out to make a future for herself and her daughter, becoming very smart and well-off. She's my hero! :)

And yeah, when Kelly was mentioned, it brought back the memories of what she did. Stringing him along for all those years like that (OK it's not quite as clear-cut as that, but it's how you would see it if you were Kevin at the time). At least it worked out for Kevin in the end now that he has his true love.

I really hope there are no threesomes or anything like that coming up. Crystal seems like the likeliest too add to the mix, but I sincerely hope you refrained. You have too much of a powerful love and romance set up between Kevin and Grace to tarnish it in such a way. I hope it stays that way.
