The story concept was good, but the misdirection was too heavy-handed. Describing actions and feelings toward "my wife" and "Lynn" in the same paragraph as if they were different people may not be technically a lie, but it is close enough to being so that the narrator/author loses the trust of the reader.

How direct of you and yet so circulus. This kind of story can be appreciated as much as the author - thanks!!!
