I'm so glad you gave Luke a revelation. No one -- real or imaginary -- can ever expect that they've truly learned everything they can about themselves. There's always something new that comes to the light. Adding that aspect to your story really helps to suck the reader in even further....Something new for the reader to learn as well.

You write well; you have an imaginative plot; you are inventive with your characters. And now you are getting into who they really are.
