That was some story! You have an amazing gift of being able to really convey situations and emotions without trivialising them. I won't lie, I wish that Brendan could have been the standup guy and done and said the right things but that's what made the story more real and poignant. I loved it! LOVED it! beautifully written! intensely personal, yet witty and funny at the same time! how do you do it? I Literally laughed out loud at a few parts! and at the same time found myself crying, the realizations hitting so close to home i guess! i'm so loving your musical selections, and will definitely be checking out the playlist! More real than a lot of stories i have read. you are a fantastic writer. your story is very realistic and shows the darker sides of love that are often left to die. i really enjoyed it even its semi happy ending. its good to read a story where a person learns to love themselves and not just depend fall automatically for another person. i know i am kind of late with the reading but i hope all worked out well for you. i wish you the best.

I love all of the stories that you've written. You write so well capturing so many emotions and more importantly eliciting emotions from your readers. I know that when I read this story I felt so much anger for Rachel's narrow-mindlessness when it came to Brendan and her hopes that things would get better. But then I rejoiced and got a little teary eyed when she finally let go and Jared came into the picture. You write in such a way that your readers can most definitely relate to your characters and their emotions/drama and it's the PERFECT combination!

I hope things are better on your front and you keep writing :) I'm a huge fan (as you can probably tell haha).

I had read you're other stories first and honestly I was shocked when the first chapter of this story bored me. But my faith in you kept me going and I must say the second chapter was amazing. Please do a favor to your readers and keep on writing great stories.

Although I really enjoyed this story, I can't help but to feel somewhat dismayed by the comments of the other woman. What the hell it's always all about the other woman and how she feels and what shes going through, or how the married won't divorce his wife, or they view the wife as an unwanted threat. it's always them trying to get sympathy.BULLSHIT.

Whenever I hear stories about this situation that you wrote (which was lovely btw) it always the wife getting the way shittier end of the stick. First her husband is cheating on her with another woman, second he is cheating on her with another woman while she is at home with his badass kids tearing up the fucking house, and lastly these married men that are fucking around could bring home some deadly disease and give it to his wife. Believe me a family friend lost her life due to aids.

But it is always the other woman that goes through so much trouble with married men. oohh poor other women.

Whenever I hear stories the first thing that comes to mind is that the other is being selfish and cruel, so is the married man, and he's especially cruel when he is cheating while his wife is pregnant.

P.S. I know it's to late commenting and I doubt you will read this, but I just recently found your stories and you are a cool author. OH and one more thing. maybe you should a story from the perspective of the wife who is being cheated on, and what she is going through. If not I might just do that myself. peace, kisses sweetie.

Wow this story MOVED me!!! She broke the cycle! Cos u know it's haaaard! You tend to feel like no one else could ever want you! You're damaged goods... I should know! I was her!!! And you know what makes me smile? The fact that I can say I WAS!!! not I am! N4M bravo!!! 

You know what they say, 'Write about what you know, and write from the heart.' You nailed this! Mirror the heroine of your story - you can find someone too, who is not already taken and who will love you fully. Sincerest wishes that you find (or have found) true love and happiness!

While reading the third part, I was really getting worried about her since she is still harping on that guy when she knows that is not good for her. But then I realized that you are showing us the cycle, of how hard it was to break free. Repetitive at times but it was necessary to focus on how much of an emotional wreck she is. I even guessed that you haven't finished this story, that it might take another chapter for her to break free but you proved me wrong when Jared came into the picture. Nice! And she did end it with him ^-^

I was so sucked in by this story! I love the way it ended and that Rachel got her hea! Having said that, Brendan was sexy as hell and I kinda wished they ended up together. sorry! lol, maybe Brendan needs his own redemption story... :)

This story is special, mainly for its message. I think everyone fell in love with the wrong one at some point, but the right message is in your story. Things get better, you'll be okay. The only thing you can't do is keeping an unhealthy relationship, you can't put yourself down, and that's what your story shows.

Now, it's incredibly well-written! That's talent for sure, congratulations!

I had read the first chapter of this story a while ago. While I loved it, I was a bit saddened that it didn't end happily for Rachel, but at the same time, I admired the realism in your depiction of her pain and conflicted feelings. Then, a few weeks ago, I discovered that there was a second chapter! I devoured it, and while I absolutely love it, I think this story could definitely be continued. It seems like chapter 2 leaves Jared and Rachel at still a pretty early stage in their relationship. I would love to see this relationship evolve in a third chapter. Also, I would be interested in Jared's backstory characterizing his relationship with the woman who broke his heart. I guess my ultimate point with all this is please continue writing, especially for this story!

This story has a rich, full bodied feel to it that not all writers can accomplish. While our studly control freak was a little to good to be true, he still hit the mark for a short story. This could easily be expanded to book length with character building. Good piece.

I go back an re read the hot scenes every now and then but OMG the closure at the ending gives me hope that I'll find the right man one day.
