This was really excellent. I thought the quote from 1 John at the beginning was so apt. And you captured some of the difficulty in changing a strictly student/teacher relationship quite well.

Very sweet but, and I may be reading too much into things, hints of a dark undercurrent when Ruth is wondering just how Jean got so experienced. Maybe in a part 3 we'll learn that Sister has been exchanging religious medals with a string of students over the years.
