It struck me as odd that whilst the early feedback was positive, more recent posts have been negative and some violently so. I worry that the readership is becoming more violently macho, which would be regrettable. This is a long (eight page) story. Why would people who hated it so much struggle to the end rather than move to a story more to their taste? Is it that they are actually drawn to the lifestyle depicted but are not yet mature enough to admit it?

For myself, I thought it was excellent and only the speed of events (compressing a month's conditioning into each day) stretched my credulity. I hope the author will return and post more excellent tales.

You sometimes have to ignore the people who read stories clearly labeled as BDSM, but are then shocked and appalled in their comments because one person took advantage of another.

Consensuality is not binary--either there or not--but more of a continuum. There's no doubt that Jody took Denny to places he did not want to go, but at every phase, Denny had the option to hit the door and split the sheets. He chose to stick with Jody instead.

What a great premise for a FLM story! -- my favorite category. An ordinary, loving married couple whose love life has gone stale, decide to make changes. They’ll together study the Wife Dominant/husband submissive lifestyle. Oh but no! Jody has clearly read ahead, for she has every toy, implement, and weapon on hand before they ‘read together.’

The storyline reminds me of a brand new driver learning where the gas pedal is, and proceeding to become a NASCAR racing driver in a week or ten days!

The story starts with the introduction to femdom, and, at racehorse speed, goes into punishment beatings, bondage, chastity, denial, pegging, SPH, feminization, humiliation in front of many strangers and former friends, collaring, enslavement, piercing, and cuckolding — all in a week or ten days. This is Trauma!

Most all of it took place without Denny’s consent and over his expressed objections. The rest was accomplished by duplicity, duress, and/or ambush. He was not given a safeword. She beat him at least once in the heat of anger.

I do get it - this is fiction and fantasy. But the story could have been written to take place gradually, over months and months, and with consent, with aftercare, with feedback. And with real affection. J.
