I get that. I'm a good-guy-always-wins kinda guy myself. This particular story, though, was a contest entry and I wrote it with the contest judge in mind. The ending was exactly the type the host enjoys. She even mentioned the ending in her scoring.

Loved this story! The buildup was quite enjoyable and I love the power plays at work and his effortless victory. Definitely one of my favorite of your stories. Would love to see more like it.
