One of the best chapters yet! I like that she has begun to come into her own more and that finally he is training her and also treating her as an alpha bitch and equal and not a little human to be protected. I liked that he was willing to admit he could do a bit better by her by teaching her more etc. The attack was exciting and interesting...I look forward to seeing how this Germain alpha factors in and what he meant about his mate. Looking forward to more.

Have just read all chapters in one sitting - boy am I going to be tired tomorrow! The writing has really developed from the beginning and the story/characters are much better now in the sense that the plot is highlighting the personalities of the characters, and their struggles to find a balance in behaviour, really well. This is especially apparent with Elizabeth. I am really enjoying this series and I can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks DW!

I saw chapter 14 posted and started to read it only to find it made no since. I realized I missed this chapter. What a chapter, there is no way chapter 14 can surpass this chapter. I'll read it anyway of course. But WOW to chapter 13

Hard to imagine how the group of 10 burglars could creep up unnoticed into the den with hundred werewolves, who can communicate telepathically. The smell is only one of senses ...

...when the couple were having their "honeymoon" but you haven't quite got the description of the sex quite there yet. For highly sensitive sensual beings at that time, "rasping" or some such feeling of fur; the twitching of the tail in a regular or irregular manner, the caress of the tail on the male's balls as an extra incentive of sensual pleasure, the pant of breath,the closing of the eyes or gleam of unbridled lust in someone's eye as they are performing the act or watching....SEX and the description of it...precursor, during, and while coming down from the high...the descriptions of where hands/paws are...give this peeping tom a description so vivid that I can practically smell the lust and feel the heat of bodies.

Other than that....good job with the teeth on the scruff of the neck and the knob thing.

favorite stories, this is probably my fifth time reading it and its still great! id really like to see you write another were category story, doesnt have to be with Elizabeth and Joel, im sure anything you write would be awesome.

Why is everyone going crazy on dry opinion when he has a valid point?

First most people would recognize strangers in a compound that isnt public. Markings on wolves actually mean something to other wolves according to most studies done. This is a valid question since the author has used several real wolf characteristics in the series and I will attempt to answer this below. Sight and hearing both are very close seconds to scent with a wolf.Its not all scent. Now on the flip side to this...first they had a witch with them and a smart which would not be using something to make you seem sleepy or befuddled,they would be using some kind of spell or potion in conjunction with the no scent thing to make you feel like the person belongs there. Think about it. Second the alpha himself insinuates,when he talks about the fact the pack used to all sleep outside and the den was only used for pups/weaning originally, that the pack is far closer to their human side than their wolf side. They dont need to hide from hunters and other predators. This has (if you understand wolves) dulled the senses a bit when it comes to outside non-obvious threats. They rely on smell for the most part and not the inner predator intuition. You get close to a wolf in the wild with a camera and many of them will notice you there. They may not see you or smell you but if you watch them they know something is up. Wolves in the wild arent like werewolves in the story. In the story they arent suspicious of any potential threat to the pack (i.e. anyone they dont know etc) because they have to blend with humanity. In the wild wolves see threats in a much more dangerous way. There are two types of threats those that have been dealt with and those still living. It doesnt mean they will necessarily go out of their way to find a threat as most tend to have the "you keep your distance and I'll keep mine" for the most part. I hope this explains it.

If you continue the story about De Santos and Germain pack as told by Joel to his mate Elizabeth. I'd love to read about that too. By the way it's my second read of this story, and that said it self how interesting it is

I agree that scentless does not equal invisibility. But I'm willing to go along with it for the sake of the story. Which is really good.

I also like the fact that Elizabeth is a badass protector as well as a big softy.

I Absolutely LOVE this story and would DEFINITELY read, IF you wrote it...Sebastian Germain's story of getting a second chance mate! I'd LOVE for that mate To Be ME!!! But That's All Fantasy and Make Believe But I know for a FACT I'd be as Feisty as he wanted!!! Grrrr!!!

I've felt there is something off with Elisabeth's character, but this pulled it together enough, thank you. But I still feel as if Joel was has more than one persona in hin - and I don't mean human vs. wolf, but as if there had been several writers taking turns in writing, not completely in accordance about him.
