That was indeed a surprise to learn Catherine is Jay's sister. Although, subtle hints were given in the previous chapters, with the story being interesting as is, I was unable to connect the dots. Perhaps, I could be wrong as the lover is also called Rae instead of Mae. Another surprise bringing in Ruth's animosity into the picture making her the antagonist. Ooh! Loving this.
