Well written generally but need some help on southwestern geography. Nothing in New Mexico is west of Vegas.

But I do know for A fact NM is east of Nevada,,not west, but is AZ not between them

Las Vegas, NM is 40 miles east of Santa Fe, NM. Pecos is 25 miles west of Las Vegas, NM and 16 miles SE of Santa Fe, NM. Maybe the author does know his southwest geography.
