Not as good as The Novice, or Innocent Pawn, but still pretty good. I feel like your language was a bit more repetitive in this one, but I suppose I shouldn't really be focusing on that.

Side note: I really appreciate the comment you make (in this and Innocent Pawn) about how rape isn't a shameful thing. With such possessive characters, it is easy to make that rape a tainting of their love/bond/whatever. So yay for that.

I really enjoyed this series, and seeing how the relationships/bonds between the characters were strengthened during their time together. PLEASE continue the series, and at least let us know what happens with Miriam. Does she marry her fiance, or does she stay with Devlin? I really want to know!! :)

I liked Mariam and Devlin too.... they are so cute

I like how they both handle their anger at the two women. It was an unexpected surprise and a very effective way to handle the situations.

At first I was apprehensive of the repetition. But soon realised it was important to make us feel familiar about Miriam and Devlin. And it has been dine wonderfully!
