It's never too late to try to undo the damage done to a relationship. Too often, the damage can't be undone, but in storyland we can always try for a happy ending.

in truth there was almost no story in this story.

This seemed overly simplistic, but for some reason I liked it. It won't win you any Nobel prize, but it made me feel good anyway.

You obviously put this together in a hurry. You could spend more time on the character development. Joyce working as a dancer/stripper didn't contribute positively to this story. At any rate, it was a nice read.
