A clever story, and with a bit more editing could be even better.
We had a Hillman Hunter when I was growing up. They're notorious for having problems in the clutch department, so it wasn't at all surprising when you made Hillman (l)Imp :-)
though perhaps it belongs in humour and satire. Though the less than beautiful ford anglia didn't quite do it for me; desperately tried to fit anglia to her maiden name. But I think that would have been too hard. Perhapd Morris Oxford might have worked better. Tried playing with sunbeam Talbot oo, but it didn't work - though it did, i think, have the same frame as the hillman.
Badge engineeting. But then where were the reciprocating pistons?

A nice little story and I liked reading it very much. Thanks for the story....Rich
Not bad except for the names of vehicles used instead of proper names which made me want to get in my Mercedes and take her for a ride!
you left alot out like at the beach one second they are in the car then suddenly by magic they are on the beach and screwing where'd the car go did they jump out while driving way to rushed slow down and make sure you transition between scenes properly AND ALWAYS USE A GOOD EDITOR BEFORE POSTING
bit of a fun story based on old cars.....but what about a bentley or rolls....
