Lisa and Rick appear to be pushing the mother beyond her psychological boundary. With time and patience, she will accept her desires and act upon them or she will not. To be truly mutually consenual, the mother must want and accept the sexual and psychological ramifications of her action as readily as her son. Lise and Rick appear to have forgotten about Nola's self-confidence, self-assurance, ego and id. In real life, what happens to Nola if she can not emotionally, physically and/or psychologically accept Rick's or her own actons?
