All Comments on 'Fabienne and June Ch. 05'

"You have been what a Christian should be..." I couldn't have put it better myself. I think that nowadays a very high proportion of Christians are what they should be. Sadly there is a vociferous minority encompassing all religions, from those disapproving of people who are and think differently to those who would re-establish an Inquisition and bring back burning at the stake. They spew their hatred in a warped belief they are doing the deity's work.

A small point, Pixie. If the Mrs Masters who condemned Fabienne is "...big in the Catholic Church...", what was she doing in the cathedral in the first place? Surely a Catholic who was so bigoted would include all Protestant churches, chapels etc in her list of hatreds. Although a lapsed Catholic, there is enough left in me to be ashamed of my fellow religionists who behave in such a way. Another gripping chapter in this intriguing series.

One of the many things I enjoy about Lit, is the way we authors do on occasions inject ourselves into our stories. Either by error or design, the faults [if it is a fault] makes this story so binding, so real. {the text message signed off by P xxx} That is by no means a criticism, I too have gone from third party to narrator and back over several chapters. It makes us real. Something I am certain a book publisher would pick up and eradicate.

Wolfie once again shines through as a decent 'bloke' and boss. Just your typical good Aussie.

Pixie your journey with the church must be very fulfilling, they always seem to be appearing at the right time, with the right advice and the right weapons for the fight at hand. Love that about your stories.

Now that I've read this chapter, I can say with certainty that the comments so far (3 of them) all mirror my feelings exactly. I am an active Christian (as well as Hotwife!) I go to Mass (and Confession!) regularly. I know many fellow parishioners who have attitudes like Jen and Ali, but sadly, I also know a few like Connie. The latter are amongst the most vocal, and do not seem to recall Jesus' saying, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." I am loving this truly beautiful love story, Pixiehoff (and the sex scenes ain't bad either!) I am happy to give this chapter 5 🌟, and eagerly await the next installment.

Quite a compelling chapter, full of drama and emotion, which successfully draws the reader along for Fabienne’s miserable day…rescued by a team of wonderful women.

I am not French, but during my apprenticeship at the Tour d'Argent in Paris I learned a few things.

First and foremost, how to properly bouffer une chatte, a skill every Frenchman and many a Frenchwoman must master.

Which brings me to this: The word chatte is always used respectfully, whether it designates a female feline (as opposed to her male counterpart, le chatou) or the essential female part which always good to eat. (I know, you prefer la langue d'une chatte qui est beaucoup plus douce que la langue d'un chatou ou bien d'un loup, but perhaps one of your friends might be interested?)

Anyway, you never use the words femme or chatte for swearing, because those two are GOOD things. May I suggest putain de merde, connasse enfoirée instead?

You see, the root of the word is con (as in its male counterpart connard) which means idiotic and literally translates to the English word cunt.

Interestingly "le con" is masculine, as is "le vagin" and "le putain", whereas the male parts "la bite" ou bien "la verge" are feminine. The French have always been genderconfused perverts, perhaps that's why I love them so much.

In any case, it will always be happy hour at my restaurant for you, for Ali, Jen and all your friends. (If you ever travel to the US, I'll tell my cousin Wolfgang Puck to extend the same courtesy.)

Meanwhile, Miss June is being promoted to general manager of the restaurant. Can we talk about catering lunches at Miss Dyer's school? The prices will be unbeatable, kids from low-income families eat for free, the food is organic, healthy and delicious. The kids will love it. Mrs Pritchard will draft the contract, done deal.

As another reader commented - "YOUR P" was a very revealing slip. The lines are frequently blurred in these personal correspondence style stories. I was tempted to refer to them as "love letters" in a previous comment, but chose a different analogy. I felt it was Pixiehoff's place to make such a pronouncement. - The fact that she did pleases me to no end. The recurring themes of sisterhood and community as bulwarks against bigotry and intolerance supplement the intimate physical and emotional elements in the story. It's quite engrossing to be privy to such authentic intimate and personal expressions of love. These "love letters" are my guilty pleasure. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
