Wow, well written, complete with accurate research; very impressive. I noticed a couple of small typos, and I found myself wishing it was longer.

I listed this story amongst my favourites and scored it a "five". I feel that you could probably sell this as an e-book. I'm imagining it with more of the friendship with Kyra, a longer ending, their coupling and tripling in the office later, and with a, "they lived happy ever after" kind of ending. I would buy that.
