Awesome writing. Extremely well crafted story. You hit a 6-0 set again. We’ll done.
Always well written,
A love story.
But, why in Mature? and why not Romance?
(Hmm, a lawyer, in love so it should be in Sci-Fi & Fantasy?)
Sweet
Thank you again
Oh, boy! A fantastic romance. A fantastic 5* romance.
Randi has a way with interesting and unexpected turns of phrase. She takes them and makes them spin on their heads!
That was a damn fine little love story. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Wonderfully romantic storyline, great dialogue between/among your characters and pace perfect. Loved it. Carter, of course, is so real as is Tai, and Landan nicely done. By way, love Tracy Chapman and that song/those lyrics. Any chance there will be a follow up? Seems likely (?).
Damn but you are one fine writer. Great plot, interesting characters, and mechanically correct. You hit all the buttons
I know that this is supposed to be a one off, but as usual you leave me wanting to read more about this couple
Liked the flirty dialogue. Well written story and good characters, but just didn't feel much romance, sorry.
Another fantastic story!! Full of truth of how scary relationships can be when trying to build trust again or the first time: when life has burned trust or young love.
Just wonderful as always. It's so fulfilling to read your work. To think you exposed me to yeet. YEET!

Wonderful story of love developed with a nice touch of sex as the prize.
What a great idea for the basis of a challenge. Looking forward to the rest. Yours will be tough to beat.
Thanks
Went to a Bob Dylan concert back in the 80's and it may have been the worst concert I have ever attended. Dylan's voice was shot at the time and if you hadn't already known the lyrics to all his songs, there is no way you would have been able to make out what he was singing.
What saved the night from being a disaster was the opening act, Tracy Chapman. I always liked her before that concert, but after that night I was a fan for life. Thanks for the reminder of her.
Great story! Kind of like an HDK story - snappy and a great ride!
Great story as usual!
I look forward to the additions to my vocabulary as much as CTC’s jokes.
Thanks for the effort and time you spend bringing these themes to us.
Wonderful story but with one tiny nit to pick: When using a noun as a name, it should be capitalized.
He is such a twatwaffle. Not a name.
Hey, Twatwaffle, screw you. Is a name.
My baby is ten days old. Not a name.
What do you want to do now, Baby? Is a name and here is where you made the mistake repeatedly.
5* anyway.
Discovered your writings thanks to Todd172. I love a good romance! I love that you write about humanity. The colors are there, they just aren't driving the human action. Close to my ideal world. Thank you again for the story.
Guess I'm just a big softy because I loved the story. Would have been nice to see how his folks responded and what his "plan" was if it didn't work out. Thanks
5 stars as usual. You’re clearly as big a car nut as I am—loved the Sunbeam Tiger. I was an adolescent when it was a current sports car and have lusted after one ever since.
Lovely. The romance was incredibly mature. The feelings were true. Enjoyed.
Wow....
Great story, as always, it is beautifully written.
5 stars because that's all it let give.
Cagivagurl
What a great story. It hit all marks to make you laugh and feel the love of great characters. Well done
Randi never fails to entertain and delight. This seems more of a romance than a mature story, but that's because I'm so damn old. Nice story, well written with a very satisfying conclusion. % stars from me.
Really sweet story, Randi, even without the syrup at the end. I was so glad that the love interest didn't turn out to be the trash guy (though that might have been an interesting challenge to transform the jackass into a nice guy worthy of her love). We got to see enough of Dan to realize that he and the trash guy had enough bad qualities that we could cheer Carter's win with Landan and his love for her. Great job and thanks for putting this new anthology together and thanks to the writers for participating. 5*
Holy cow incredible tale. It is funny, it is a story that involves obstacles, a woman who had been burned and has been kind of in her own emotional castle, an age gap, and yes being interracial, but the story while not making a big deal about them all, quietly demolishes them and it turns into a heck of a romance.
And it includes sailing......
The writing is just plain impeccable as well. Thank you for this:)
Still puzzled as to why Stev and Hooked seemed like letdowns. I mean, 4 is fine. But both are usually fivers in the QuickMagazine world. On the other hand, Laptop and DT were big weepy 5's, while HDK made a perfect miniature 5. Though this effort from BR wasn't in LW, couldn't finish the event without sampling it. Maybe it's that one never knows what to expect from Randi, so it's easier to dole out the 5's. Nah, that's not it. More that this started out as a super fun romp, then took a dive into tear duct romantic territory (as HDK wisely noted in his comments). This ain't no 5. It's a super 5 to the 5. And then some.
Great romance once again, as most of your stories essentially are. Enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you for this wonderful story. Just marvelous! 5 stars.

Also thanks for organizing these events, and lending your editing skills to so many writers. Bravo!
Your last couple outing have been some of your strongest. Very well-crafted story arc from the mater herself. The following sentence is one of the best I've read on the site: "The early morning became a world of shadow, sensation, ecstasy, until there was only Landan, Carter, and an infinity of joy." 5*
That's damn good writing, not to mention a very sweet story. An easy 5. Really nice story.
Okay then…with cars and sailboats it’s an undeniable truth that -FAST IS FUN, I’m pretty sure that’s a commandment (at the very lest it’s a life motto or mantra.) I have a slight concern with keeping a fas sailing cat in a slip instead of a trailer, but my sailing venue of choice is the Pacific, of lakes or rivers I’ve little experience.
And truly, nothing is more deserving of shade as Bud Light and it’s fizzy water ilk (and let’s throw dipshit ex-es in there too)
But when all is said and done, few things are as pleasing as a well told tale of good people finding one another — well done
Another great story thanks for ur hard work kmo it is appteciated n enjoyed
Just another example of what a talented author can create. My only complaint was the abbreviated nature of the loving they had at the end. It could have gone into more detail, been a bit longer, but regardless, it was another great read.
You know, you get a good story and then you get a great story that is emotive and very well put together, one that you can relate to. Thanks for sharing...!
LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST OF THE ENTIRE LOT SUBMITTED FOR THE "I WANNA KNOW WHAT LOVE IS" CONTEST!!!!!! TOOK A WHILE TO GET TO IT --- HAD TO STRUGGLE THROUGH ALL OF THE MISCATEGORIZED "LOVING WIVES" ENTRIES!!!!!!!
Well written, good characters and excellent story! Yes I was entertained! All boxes checked definitely a 5!
Please do keep writing and I will keep reading!
Just….Outstanding. Definitely a 5⭐️ effort, twice that if I could. Thanks for sharing.
Yet again you have blown me away with your talent.
I love your heroines, they are quick, bright, smart, funny and gorgeous. Just like the woman in my life who I will love until death parts us.
While a beautiful tale on its own, these characters read like the start of a dynasty. They seem capable of running for several chapters with enough events around them to run side stories.
Maybe a chapter 2? Tai needs another sibling, and Carter needs another reason to be mama bear. Her new husband and kids! 10 stars isn't close!!
Well done! 👍 a great story with a proper ending. Can’t give but 5 stars.
Bill S.
Another great story. I have read many from you but this is one of your best. Thank you
Wow!!! Love the storyline and character development. What a beautiful job at capturing the emotions
Loved it! You made me want to love Carter so bad also. Love the depth you put into it. If I felt this right, there seemed to be a touch of sadness and/or regret in there as well. The little piece of you that has a memory of longing from the past. Anyway you need more output as I’m quickly completing what’s been completed. Just kidding, only halfway.
The last line was like a line from a VanHagar song! Thanks for a good story Randi - 5 stars
somewhere east of Omaha
Damn, you have a way with words! You should write stories!🤪 LOVE this romance thingy!
