A lovely story to read on a damp Friday lunch time. Thanks for posing it

Very well written and a pleasure to read ..short and no sex but lovely all the same ..look forward to reading more of your stories
Well done. I have been in their shoes, and you captured the emotions well.
This was very well written, and an enjoyable easy read... If possible write a sequel from the dinner forward... Again I did enjoy your story...
Well written with real insight into the pain of loss and the warmth of finding someone new. Could've been non-erotic or even romance, but who cares. It's a story worth telling - and worth a five.
I'm a fool. I should be so lucky. Well done.
Been in his and hers shoes so to speak... At 53, I'm a widower twice... I lost my first wife to a massive heart attack in Dec. of '98, lost my second one in June of '06 to cancer... Not had the best of luck with wives obviously... Sometimes, I kind of wish that I could meet someone, like in this story, but, with my job (I'm an Over the Road Truck Driver), it's kind of hard to...
Well done. Wonderful comforting way for me to start the day. Thank you.
Nice, well written, easy read on the surface. Very thought and emotion provoking upon reflection. Looking forward to reading your other contributions. Thanks for sharing!
No, not too short, but just right; you've written plenty of others that are much longer. What a sweet picture you painted. Of the 5 or 6 of yours I've read, it's my favorite, and I've rated most of those 5 stars. Thank you, JB7.

I think it is a kind story, and full of understanding. As an elderly man whose wife died of cancer, now nearly 15 years ago, I know what it feels like to do my own shopping, and cooking, and living on, alone. Thank you for this story.
Hmmm... jumps into bed with another guy after only 5 weeks of grieving? Not saying you need to wait a full year, but... damm.
Some folks complain about the shortness of "grieving" time. Sometimes the grieving has been going on for many months before the actual death.
Story was very interesting but could have been embellished! You presented a story that is eminently feasible and has happened within my lifetime. Keep up the good work.
