It took me a bit to realize what was missing from this story; for me it's dialogue. The very premise of this story though doesn't allow for that. You can't have dialogue and secretly be getting laid in a tent, regardless of who you are doing it with. The tension from the story comes from the potential of getting caught and the various risks involved.

I've been reading this shit now for a couple of months and I could never quite put my finger on what was off with these stories and then it hit me like a ton of bricks.

This story didn't click for me for several reasons. First is the betrayals.
