All Comments on 'Hoff and Hols, a Romance Ch. 10'

Quite a (welcome) surprise this morning to see two Hoff & Hols chapters come up at once. This was a very tender and touching chapter, Pixie. As they say in the theatre: "Follow that!"

As one writer to another, can I make a small observation? Your short description in the listings ("AK's world falls apart") very much gave the game away so that Cris's tragic accident had far less dramatic impact than it should have done. I hope you don't mind me pointing that out, Pixie, you know I think highly of your work.

I like happy endings ... but then it had to turn out sad.

Pixie, I may have a hunch why this had to happen. You needed AK and her baby to be fully in your family. Therefore Cris was no longer required, after having dutifully donated his sperm.

The thing is, he never really was in the story, except as a prop. Yes, his supportive role in the cast improved over time. We know that he was a good man, but we don't know who he was.

So he leaves a void, not so much by his disappearance but by the untold story of his life, especially his love life with AK. Hols didn't share intimate thoughts about Cris with Hoff. That would have been TMI. We don't even know what the best man had to say about him at the wedding.

Hey Cris, I am sorry that we have never met. But at least you are now in the same place as Pixie's dad and JC.

Thoroughly enjoying the twists and turns of this story.

Let me catch my breath. This chapter and the last (like the entire piece) so rich in content while so perfectly paced. Pause — must read again from the very start of the Hoff and Hols romance. Tears, smiles, poignant moments, and erotically beautiful scenes weaved flawlessly into your storyline. Interesting aside that speaks to your writing skill: the last few chapters of this romance closed in such a way that one feels content with where you brought the reader/the story while so open to more. I hope for more.

What a tragic end to the happiness previous to the crash. A beautifully written 5 star chapter as ever, Congratulations darling on another fine effort. xxxx

I tried to be strong. But it didn't work. You do know how to twist things my girl. The emotions that are contained in simple words on a screen, are so powerful. Everyone will read it differently I'm sure. I cried, I cried a lot.

This chapter began with such positivity, including Pixie taking Footy's question as a challenge to be "the first to do both". Alas, this story as in life had the storm clouds and the rain come to replace the sunshine. It's such a shame AK's husband and her unborn child's father has passed, but at least AK is surrounded by those who love and care for her. Because of this, I am confident the sun will shine again on our dear AK.

Chapter 9 & 10 posted simultaneously, then 10 "un-posted" so I refrained from commenting on either until 10 re-posted. This is a combined comment for the two chapters...... Pixie's epiphany about having to make choices for herself regarding her personal life, and Footy's "encouragement" to take the initiative with Emma and ignore conventions, really propelled the narrative forward in a positive direction. Poxie's evolution into a more fully realized individual has positioned her to be an even better friend to AK in her time of need. Pixie can now be proactive rather than simply reactive when the situation calls for it. It will also be an interesting role reversal if Pixie starts making some decisions for AK until AK has her legs fully back under her. It would somewhat echo another Pixie story where the D/s dynamic is fluid between characters based upon the conditions and circumstances at a particular moment in time in the relationship. With Pixie and Emma now being an item, I don't know how AK's situation will affect things; but ultimately, I think it would be highly therapeutic (and erotic) for Pixie to take charge and get AK back in the saddle. One theme that seems to be emerging, is that life and their friendship are constantly bringing Pixie and AK back together. THAT is quite "romantic. " *dreamy sigh* ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
