Please allow me to propose an amendment to a quote from the previous episode:
"If you lick and munch their cunts, their hearts and minds will follow."
However, the archbishop of Canterbury being male, he needed other means of persuasion. Fortunately, Pixie is not only the best giver of oral pleasure but also a great orator.
I want to believe that Mary Magdalena really was Jesus' lover. There is nothing wrong with Christ knowing physical love as well as spiritual love.
Perhaps the denigration of Mary Magdalena was borne out of jealousy from people to whom love is a zero-sum game. Their thinking is: if I take love away from you, then there is more love for me.
Only when we free ourselves from jealousy (or envy, to use a stronger word) do we realize: love shared is love multiplied.
Thank you, darling Pixie, for sharing your love.

once again, some great story telling. The more I read about the church the more intrigued I am. I am in no way a religious person, unless Football is regarded as a religion, and know very little about the ways of the church. But the authenticity of the way you write about it, makes it sound very credible.
5 stars.
If your Sunday Mail's "...one well-known commentator..." is based on a real-life journalist, I think I know who it is---if I'm right, the man is a miserable curmudgeon and pessimist who will not be satisfied until the whole world is as unhappy as he seems to be. Several months ago, and to my horror, I found myself agreeing with something he had written. I sought medical help immediately! As for her address to the Commission, to paraphrase the old Rowan & Martin Laugh-In joke, Pixie really "...socked it to 'em, baby!" Loved the flanker she pulled on the church as regarding the charitable donations.
I agree with Lady F, where the hell does AK get all her energy from? I suppose she must take a double-handful of vitamin pills with her early morning cup of tea.
Darling Amadeus, I am so glad that you are enjoying the journey, and yes, Pixie will continue to do her best to show that God is, indeed, love. xxxxx
Darling Bobbi, I am glad, as far too often, it is seen as antithetical to love-making, when there is no good reason for it - glad you are enjoying the fun xxxxx
Yes, darling Maonaigh, it is the curmudgeon you suspect - he would be the natural one. I guess, on the law of averages, he has to be right once, so don't worry too much, but if it happens again seek medical assistance!!
AK's energy is legendary, and still is xxxxx
The meeting with the archbishop and the ensuing words she spoke to the congregation went about as well as I could have hoped. Certainly, there was much wisdom in her words. The 100k for educative consultation process with the laity was great. We shall see if any changes happen as a result. In the meantime, it's a shame that Emma can't spend nights with Pixie for a while. But then, there's always AK to help Pixie out. :)
Once again, Pixie adroitly manages a tense situation and achieves a tangible step forward. Reminded me of how well she dealt with the BBC panel “discussion” not to mention the interview with Ruth and Milly in Chapter 8 of Guilt and Redemption. Continue to find AK a wonderfully free spirit.
It almost seems like it would be easier for Pixie and Co. to start a new religion rather than trying to dance with the devil and change things from inside the church. I know it's blasphemy, but I would support a new religion that was based on Pixie's example. I also think "Pixianity" has a very nice ring to it.🙂 Beyond the church commission, there was so much progress made on many fronts in the story: Issy is growing up so fast and has benefitted from the positive examples / role models she is surrounded by. The message is subtle, but the notion that only a "normal" family can raise an exceptional child is being destroyed. In fact, now that I think about it, many societal norms are being challenged throughout the narrative. Overall, I'm enjoying the direction and the pace of the story, even though the "Honey Trap" scandal has placed Emma's and Pixie's relationship back in the spotlight and interrupted their "quality" time together. Il can't wait to see if Mr. Bartlett gets his comeuppance for all the misery he has caused in our favorite ladie's lives. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Darling OneAuthor, so glad that you have enjoying the saga. I think Pixie is under no illusion about the Commission, but if no one tries to change things, they won't change xxxxx
Thank you, Migbird, I am glad you see the similarities in her media performance. AK is just that, the free spirit of all free spirits xxxxx
Thank you so much, Anonymous, and I love your comments. Yes, indeed, the narrative is quietly challenging societal norms, and time is coming for our heroines when others will have to be challenged. I am so glad that you are loving this xxxxx
Unfortunately there are far to many religions started for far less. The truth is if we don't face the truths both good and ill in our faiths and societies, then nothing will change. All human endeavors are fraught with faults and problems. We can not but face our faults and the faults in our endeavors then neither we or they will ever improve.

Whether we like it or not, society and its institutions have the right to determine their own norms. We can only hope and pray that such norms are based on love and compassion. When we find they are not, we can only do what we can to shine a light on the fault and pray that enlightenment comes to all. Do all things in love.
Thank you, MamaS. We are told God is love. How hard can we make that? xxxxx
Very good and well written. Also an excellent knowledge of church matters.
The Church always fun subject so many contradictions to examine remembering the whole system was set up for men by men
To see and feel the success of your young scholar warms me to a depth not touched in so many stories. To see and know her capabilities to teach and mentor those “less willing” to know brightens my soul.
