While I agree the bitch got what was coming to her, it was just a case of overkill.

Any woman who could abandon her kids like that would certainly not care enough to be upset they had moved on. Add to that the threat to sue one adult for throwing another adult out of his house, and it's purely ridiculous.

Finally, the writing is just too self-important in places, and the use of punctuation is a tad haphazard (where is "Lackland, Air Force Base" pray tell?).

This could have been much better with an editor's help. As is, it's just a good idea that went off the rails.

Great story and a unique look at the aftermath of a betrayal in marriage. Excellent work.

What a paradox. If she wouldn't have tried to improve her status in life and stayed with her husband then nothing would have changed. She still would have been miserable and her family would still be dysfunctional but she left and caused the rest of the family to pull together and leave their comfort zone and becoming successful. Plus, she was no longer there to enable her son. So, they owe their success to her selfish behavior. Everyone is better off including her so she should be happy and take some pride in doing the right thing. Albeit for the wrong reasons but all's well that ends well. Stacy is the second best daughters to me from a LW story.

The first best daughter is Jennifer from thecelt "Special Day".

Stacey is very smart to tell almost everything about their success and do not cut the future connection with her mother. Similar kind daughter is as Jennifer is for me.

All is well in the end. Someone should write one where the kids kill a reconciliation. I'll bet that happens all the time. I have seen it once. It wasn't the cheating or trust issues or anything else. The husband did not care any longer. He needed a maid. It was the kids who drove the woman away. She lasted six months.

Funny how life has ups and downs. The ending was a great twist! MaddieKim

This is a fantastic story promoting getting on and moving forward. Well paced and well told. I also like that it was from the daughters point of view, and that she was able to gently push the knife in and twist. 5 Stars!

A great slap down and meticulous deconstruction of an arrogant bitch. Having the daughter deliver it was brilliant. The final dig, that Frank is enamored of the writing of her ex husband and the delicious put down of Linda in his written reply was perfect. It becomes crystal clear that almost all the problems that Linda bitches about can be laid at her own feet. Ed was struggling so hard to overcome the problems that Linda generated that the whole family was being held back. Without Linda acting as a anchor around their necks they were able to soar. They are not just living well, they are living to the max. A totally enjoyable story.

This was a fantastic story. I laughed and laughed. The mom was obviously an extremely shallow person. There is one thing I would like to see. That would be Frank and Ed shaking hands at the book signing and the look on the mom's face when she gets to visually compare her bald, rotund, aging husband with her fit, middle aged ex-husband.

What I really liked though was the creativity.

I think the scores are too low. This certainly deserves to be on the Top List. Of course you chose the toughest category to for your submissions.

@ rajeshkumaar If you look at the net with true stories where wiwes leave her families, husband and children, the loverboys are not millioners in the most cases. The story is not alone standing in that case that at the majority of the children the father will be a beloved only person in the future.......................This story is other to the true life, because the single fathers work hard but the majority of them are not so succesful as Ed and the children became. This is when the Postman bit the dog..........

If you're as consumed with hate and the need for revenge that some of the more rabid TTB'er posting here, it's a pretty safe bet your life isn't going to be very good. If on the other hand, you assume you made a poor choice the first time, look to see why and make a better choice the second time, life can be pretty good.

<p>My first wife was a self-centered, immature slut and the finale was pretty damned painful. In the end, I decided she never really did make a committment to our marriage or relationship so why waste emotional energy on her? That is easier said than done and it took a while but eventually I met someone in whom I was interested. I took a very close look at her and her relationships with my head as well as my emotions. After she passed the head and heart test, we moved on into a relationship that has lasted through two kids and 30 years and is still going strong.

<p>Leave the rabid TTB'ers in their misery and hate. Maybe it will keep them warm at night or give some purpose to lives that don't seem worth living.
