Click hereI giggled into the front of Daniel's crisply pressed shirt. "You're bluffing."
"Wanna bet?" There was an edge in Daniel's words which warned me not to step too far.
"Well, maybe you'll just have to prove it to me," I said saucily.
Daniel growled deep in his throat. "I'd love to."
To be continued...
...corny beyond belief.
"City Hall could care less about what Bruch says, especially if he's our man,"
Could care less is the opposite of couldn't care less. Does the author know the difference? Or, does she want to have the reader perceive her interlocutor to be an uneducated boor?
That reminds me of this author´s confusion between complement and compliment on an earlier story.
gotta go.
Ah this was great, I love how you describe the characters and the detail of everything like her work desk, the breakfast coffee, etc. I have my own picture of Daniel in my head ( he is someone I have only met once and is about 30 years older than me, I am 18) I am hoping to see him again next year. This story is captivating to me more because i have a fantasy thing for older men. I guess I should do my schoolwork now(I've put it off whilst reading this) and then read the final five chapters!
Youre work seems so similar to that of e.l. James in the book series fifty shades of grey. Im beginning to think you are her.
