I should be so lucky...

...to meet and have the opportunity to cherish a woman as remarkable and beautiful as Mia, and to feel so loved by her, too. Wow!

You write beautifully about the pain we can inflict on ourselves, consciously and unconsciously. You also write sweetly, and with a huge amount of understanding about the human condition, and the power of love and forgiveness of self. And, the fullness of your characters--they are so real.

I could write lots more in gratitude, but I'll end now with a great big THANK YOU!

Please continue to write.

Full of Hope

The kindness between the characters is beautiful. I hope it is also real because it's a story of hope.

Great story

Congratulations Scorpio44-- a great story that started out very low and improved dramatically as it evolved. One of the few original, loving stories I've read- the characterizations were wonderfully done, the hesitation, the mutual lack of cofidence in their sexual capabilities, the mutual concern for each others comfort level.wonderful sensitive story about two lonely people.---wonderful writing. Thanks! 60 year old George

Born Again

Oh to a new life!

Quite enjoyable for the fire in the furnace to be reignited after the devastation.

Please write more stories along this line.

Scorpio thank you!!!

Scorpio you light the way for loyal readers with yet another fine tale of rekindled love and hope. Your characters appear so live and real and the plot, although sombre for the most part is truly heart warming. You honour us with yet another glimpse of you brilliance!

Great!

On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd definately call this a 10! Wonderfully written romance that was a joy toread. The only criticism I had was that your numbers don't add up--or the information about when Mia became his secretary isn't clear enough. Still, though the math may not have been yuour thing, writing certainly id. Beautifully written. I enjoyed the slow attraction that grew between the to of them.

Thanks!

as an old guy...

...this story really hits home. Blowing out the cobwebs, that's what Mia said. I enjoyed sex when I was young. Now? Now I cherish it...Nice one Scorpio.

Nice little story

to think they waited fifteen years before coming out of the gloom - almost a lifetime but now they have each other to share life's path with - sweet and tender and so good. Must try that peanut butter and honey sandwich idea - sounds scrummy.

Nice!

Keep writing stories just like this. Love 'em.

I know they're just stories, but...

I turn 60 soon and hope is a good thing to have.

These stories help. Keep 'em coming.

Turning 60

I thought romance had been a feeling that I would not have again, great story and also gives one a ray of hope. I enjoyed the character development and how you put the feelings into the story.

I can relate to Nick's situation. My wife when she was 30 had a complete hysterectomy due to a severe case of endometriosis. We were told that hormone therapy would replace those produced in the ovaries. However, the estrogen replacements caused soreness in her breasts and concern that breast cancer could result. The lack of the other normally produced in the ovaries led to a significant reduction in her sex drive and eventually refusing to participate in any sexual pleasures. Most recently she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease
