It seems the story stops half way through Jill's initiation but, from the earlier story of Mike's initiation, there probably is not that much more to it anyway. The rules seem to conflict that the family member can always say no but the Grand Dame cannot be refused and the coloured bands showing preference seem to be angled towards being available.

The author clearly has some ideas that, unfortunately, have not been included but, overall, this has not been well thought out.
